SPI Rust Grip® Coatings

Seal virtually any surface and protect it against corrosion, weather and physical wear with Rust Grip®, a three-coats-in-one system that acts as a primer, intermediate, and top coat with a single application.

RUST GRIP® (Polyurethane) – Used to coat directly over existing rusted surface with minor prep but clean surface and loose materials removed. Rust Grip® is used to encapsulate over existing lead-based paints or asbestos. It can be applied over metal, concrete, wood and other building materials to strengthen the surface to a 6780psi surface tensile strength.

MOIST METAL GRIP (Epoxy) – Used for corrosion control directly over condensating or wet metal surfaces. Moist Metal Grip can be applied by brush or roller to force the coating into the surface pores, to replace the moisture or water, and to lock down and prevent the combination of moisture and air to allow corrosion to exist or continue. Two-part solvent based.

RUST GRIP®-E (Epoxy) – same as Moist Metal Grip except with added metallic for toughness and heat.
